About Prayer Room

During the one hundred years of prayer by the Moravian’s, their missionaries sent back news to the Herrnhut community, sharing the joy and struggles of their mission work. Those letters were used to fuel the 24-hour prayer watch as men and women still living in Herrnhut sought God on behalf of those who were serving a long ways from home.
Although those letters took many months to go back and forth across the ocean, we’re sure it helped the prayer warriors in Herrnhut know what to pray for their missionaries.
We recognize that it’s not always easy to know how to pray for missionaries, especially when you can’t be on location with them, know the people they’re ministering to, or how to pray through their burdens and rejoice in their triumphs.
Our desire is that the Prayer Room will serve as a gathering place for the prayers of our JV missionaries, where you can come and hear real requests and lift them up to the Lord on our behalf.
We’ll share answers; we’ll share struggles. We’ll tell you what we’re thankful for and what we still need prayer for. We’ll keep it up to date with new requests, as well as collect answers so you know how God is working on our behalf of your prayers.
The Prayer Room is a web-based experience, so you’ll need to have a good Wi-Fi connection in order to come in at your scheduled time. You’ll be led through an hour of prayer that will include personal time for you with the Lord, as well as time for our requests and thanksgivings.
We hope it will be the best hour of your week, and that you’ll leave the Prayer Room more refreshed than when you went in!
To sign up, you’ll create a log in, and then click on the calendar to book your time of prayer. We hope you’ll come in often, and be one of our regular prayer warriors.
We know that somehow in God’s economy, our prayers matter. He doesn’t need them to get his work done, but yet he tells us: “Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” Ephesians 6:18
